Breather Valve

A breather valve is an automatic protective device installed on the top of a storage tank, which has dual functions of exhalation and inhalation. When the pressure inside the tank exceeds the set value, it automatically opens to release pressure. When the pressure is lower than the set value, it inhales outside air to maintain pressure balance inside the tank and prevent deformation and damage due to overpressure or negative pressure.Widely used in industries such as petrochemicals, grain and oil storage, pharmaceuticals, and daily chemical products, it is suitable for storage tanks of various media such as gasoline, diesel, chemical solvents, and edible oils. It can prevent the evaporation and loss of media inside the tank, avoid damage to the tank due to temperature changes and pressure fluctuations caused by material handling, and prevent external air impurities from entering the polluted medium.

Common Types

  • Ordinary breathing valve: simple structure, suitable for pressure balance of atmospheric storage tanks, without explosion-proof and fire-resistant function
    Flame retardant breathing valve: Built in flame retardant core, can prevent external flames from entering the tank, suitable for flammable and explosive medium storage tanks
    All weather breathing valve: adopting windproof and rainproof design, with excellent sealing performance, suitable for storage tanks in harsh outdoor environments
    Pilot operated breathing valve: with high regulation accuracy, it can accurately control the micro positive pressure/micro negative pressure inside the tank, and is suitable for high-purity medium storage tanks
